I returned to the Abandoned Meyers / Wilcox house to take a tour inside. The original owners, the Meyers, use to own a restaurant that sat down towards the road called the Lobster Pot. The lobster pot was a seafood restaurant that also went abandoned. That has been torn down. This house sold to the Franklin Mint and then the Mint closed, it was taken over by the developer who was going to build a shopping center. However this develop ran into financial problems and the house was left abandoned. Many years of abuse has really taken it toll on this house. This past spring the house was ordered by the township to be demolished. It is no longer standing sadly. It was a very unique house.

  1. I grew up in PA, but live in Virginia now. I’ve always been fascinated with abandoned houses and places. This past winter my wife and I have visited quite a few in our area. Didn’t enter very many, just took pictures from the outside.
