Built in 2 parts starting in 1756, this was the home to Mr Squire. It started as a smaller home circa 1756. This part is from the far right of the house up to the middle chimney when looking at the photos with 3 doors. The second part built around 1760 consisted of the remaining parts of the home. Mr squire was a farmer and a patriot. During the american revolutionary war and the battle of the brandy wine, Mr Squire warned President George Washington that the British were flanking him from the North. I could not find many more information on what happened through the 19th and 20th Century. The farmhouse did become abandoned from the picture I posted a few days ago. It remained boarded up. In 2010, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It wasn’t until recently that someone has bought the property and is now restoring the home. The 44 acres that was owned by Squire has also been sold off to a new housing development which they have built newer homes around this. I am just happy to see places like this get saved, especially ones that are historical to the area. Video to follow. Like, comment, Share with your friends. Enjoy. 1. Thank you. I love old buildings, renovated or decaying. Since I don’t have the ability to go exploring I really appreciate being able to look at what you’ve captured on film.
