The Sunnyside Mansion was located in Media Pa off of Baltimore Pike RT1. This house was large with over 5000 square feet, 10 bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms. One of the occupants of this beautiful home use to be part of the Pennsylvania Railroad that ran along side of it. Today that railroad remains unused known as the R3 Line, WAWA Station. This house was considered a mansion in its day. Part of the Franklin Mint development, It sold in 2008 for 950,000 US dollars. Just like the Meyers House, this house was slated for demo to make way for new development opportunities which got put on hold because of legal issues. The house was destroyed by vandals over the years and was demolished in 2013 due to unsafe conditions. Check out my photos for some demo photos as well as old photo submitted by a past owner.
